Drug Company goes Global with Secure Wireless Network

When the company first approached Carat Computer Systems, they were a very small start-up

They didn’t expect to be staying in their present offices for too long, so didn’t want to invest in hard wiring, but did need networking for their IT.

They also needed the installation to be flexible and scalable, as they wanted to prepare for future growth - so a Small Business Network was recommended and installed. 

The company expanded quickly from 8 to 30 users and a second office was established, so Carat Computer Systems then extended their network over a WAN. 

'The next stage for the our client was to extend their flexible working capability,' says Wayne Price, CCS Account Manager. 'So we set up mobile e-mail via Smartphones and PDA's, which then extended their office to anywhere in the world.' 

Once this was up and running, CCS then project managed and installed a VoIP telephone system. 

'We provided all the connecting parts, including the vital security, all their back-up capability, archiving and office programs,' says Wayne. 'For our client, having one point of contact and a team who understood their needs and their system made growing their IT and expanding their business a lot easier.'
